A SNO-GO ski bike steers like a bike and slides like skis: you stand on the pegs, lean the bike to turn and control speed by carving. Whitefish Mountain Resort approves them on its lifts, and we train you in the shop before you head up the mountain.

What a SNO-GO is
SNO-GO is officially recognized as the third mountain sport and is fully approved for use at Whitefish Mountain Resort. It is a bike frame on three skis: you stand on two small rear skis and steer with the handlebars on the front ski. It is incredibly intuitive, remarkably stable, and gives you full control of sliding on snow from your very first run. No ski lessons needed.
The training, in the shop
We provide in-store training before you head to the mountain, and the official SNO-GO training video gives a step-by-step overview. Every SNO-GO comes with the required belt and leash; the resort requires a leash on the lifts.
Riders ages 14 to 17 ride with an adult. The maximum rider weight is 400 pounds, and helmets are mandatory. Bring your own or use one of ours at no cost.
What to wear
Your own winter boots (no ski boots needed), ski pants, layers and gloves, goggles or sunglasses, and a helmet. Dress as you would for a day of skiing.
Where to ride
SNO-GO bikes are approved for use at Whitefish Mountain Resort, offering access to groomers, glades, parks and more. Start on the groomed beginner runs and work up from there.
Renting one
Our fleet is the SNO-GO SHIFT and SHIFTed. Pickup and drop-off are at the shop in Whitefish, next to Super 1 Foods, and you can pick up the evening before at no extra charge. Many days through the season sell out, so reserve ahead: see SNO-GO ski bike rentals for the rates and the request form.
