Going-to-the-Sun RoadE-Bike Rentals
Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful rides you can do in the lower 48 states. It is a ride you will never forget, and there is no better way to do it than on an e-bike. Our shop is in Whitefish, about 25 miles (32 minutes by car) from West Glacier.
Riding The Sun Road In Spring
Springtime biking is allowed on the main road while the National Park Service is working on snow removal, normally from March 15 to July 1. You can ride from where the gate is closed all the way up to where they are plowing, or often all the way to Logan Pass, depending on what the park service allows at the time.
Closures, hiker-biker days and the park's e-bike rules change through the season. Read our guide to biking Going-to-the-Sun Road and check today's road status before you book.

Why Rent Your Glacier E-Bike From Montana E-Bikes
- Quality of our bikes. We really have the highest quality e-bike rental out there. We have four styles that are all great for the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Our bikes are powerful and our batteries are long range, making them perfect for this ride.
- Selection. We are located in the heart of Whitefish and we give you many ways to carry your bikes to Glacier National Park: racks for cars, bike pads for trucks, or foldable bikes so you can load them in your car.
- Long-day rentals. Pick your bikes up as early as 9 AM and they are not due back until 5 PM for same-day rentals. That gives you plenty of time to enjoy the park and the Sun Road.
- Team. We have a super passionate team that is committed to helping you have a fun and safe time in the outdoors.
- The ride. See our Where to Ride page for a well-marked ride of the Going-to-the-Sun Road and other helpful links.

Why E-Bikes For Glacier
E-bikes let you cover more ground and see more of the park. With electric assistance you can ride farther and faster, so the climb to Logan Pass is a day out instead of a test. Parking inside the park is limited and the roads are hilly; on an e-bike you ride past the traffic, stop wherever you like and take in the views at your own pace.
